Heather's Progression

Hello everyone, it sure has been a long time since I have posted anything on here, so since I have some time on my hands thought that I would get something up here!

My walking days are about done, sad as it is, I knew it was coming, but with help from a great husband and family....we are making it!

I am still able to stand on my left leg but not for long...the left ankle is starting to roll on me just like the right one did....

I have an appt Feb 15 @ KU, so we will see how my breathing is! I am sure that it is still at 95% which is great, but have to wait and see!

Good days!

Well I thought that I would update those of you who read my blog!

Things have been good lately, still waiting for our home to be finished, we made the paper (Travis & Heather Blanton VS. Eric Froeschl) , so hopefully soon we will be going to court, I am ready for this project to be over, and most of all I am ready to get justice. However anyone looks at it, we got the raw end of the deal! Lets just hope it's not that way in the court room!

I did go see Gary Allan with my cousin Kelli in Sedalia Mo @ the Mo State Fair. It was a blast! We had such a great time! At least I did anyway- I took my Jazzy chair (thanks to my dear friends Tina & Jimmy) so I wouldn't have to do alot of walking, and after being there, I don't know that I could have done all that walking, that place was HUGE! The concert was absoletly perfect- we were worried because the weather was raining and not lookin so good, but by the time we got to Sedalia the rain had slowed down and then by the time the concert started the rain stopped, the clouds parted and the tempature was perfect!

Gary is smoken HOT- but after seeing him in person (not to mention that Kelli got us FRONT ROW tickets) he is even HOTTER than I imagined!!! :)

My Friend Sue

I meet my friend Sue In Feb of this year (2009), it was rathing interesting in how we meet, to say the least. She had the same disease that I was just diagnosed with. A few of my family members had known her and her husband because of work they had done for Sue or becasue they had taken care of Sue in the last year. So apparently one day they had discussed me in a conversation about ALS, and Van and Sue were eager to meet me. Well my family had said something to Travis and of course Travis wanted me to know about it, and I said most deffiently I want to meet her, I want to know everything about what is going to happen or what we can do.....so on....

So about 10 days after I was diagnosed, we went to visit Sue and Van. They were surprised that we would come out so soon, but I was very curious about the whole thing. So we went out to their home, and not ever having meet them before, my husband and I were out there for 5 hrs that evening. They made us feel like we were family. As it stands now, we kinda are family to them, Sue and Van hold a special place in my heart, and we have gotten together a few times since our first meeting with them, we even had a bbq with all of their children and grandchildren, it was a nice time!

So as Sue has passed on to be with the Lord, they have helped me in a way that is unexplainable, but maybe I am more at ease with this horrible disease, because knowing that the Lord will help me get thru anything, I know I will be ok......

In memory of Sue Koelliker, a dear friend!!
